ELIJAH WOOD MEETS THE BIZARRE FANATICS
LORD OF THE RINGS star ELIJAH WOOD is happy about the cult following the blockbuster movie has - but is a little bit scared by over enthusiastic fanatics.

Assuming he was still able to go places without being recognised, the actor decided to make a trip to a fan convention - and discovered things in his life have certainly changed.

He says, "I naively thought I'd just go and hang out at a comic book convention in San Diego. I got stopped, and a wall of fans surrounded me."

There are a lot of fanatics out there that I don't get. Like, I don't understand Trekkies. Sorry, but it's lame. With Rings I understand it. I lived it. And I will live it for the rest of my life."
