The Faculty is about a group of mismatched kids from a small-town highschool in Ohio (go Ohio!) who have come to the realization that their school is being taken over by aliens. Casey (Elijah Wood), the school wuss, and Stokely (Clea DuVall), the school outsider, stumble upon this conclusion after Casey has found an alien creature in the football field and meets the coach, delivering the hilarious line of "I don't believe a person should run unless he's being chased" and scoots off to his Science class. There his teacher (played by Jon Stewart) drops the item into a fishtank and it comes to life. While Casey is still unsuspicious of anything, he leaves the classroom and finally figures things out after popular, beautiful cheerleader Delilah (Jordana Brewster) and Casey find a dead body inside of a closet in the faculty lounge. Everyone in the lounge is acting differently...drinking lots of water, the pill- popper isn't popping anymore pills, the smoker isn't smoking. People are different and Casey finally goes to provide his theory to Stokely, the only person who'll listen. He finally convinces her as they rush to the science lab where the creature that had been found earlier was, only to find that it has been taken away. Delilah and her ex- boyfriend and ex-star quarterback Stan (Shawn Hatosy) stumble upon the scene as Casey explains his theory. At the same time, the repeating-Senior and smart-but-seemingly-dumb badass Zeke (Josh Hartnett) and his new-found flame Marybeth (Laura Harris) are in the Science storage room where he "borrows" (though he prefers to call it stealing) the items for his own home lab. There he overhears Casey, Stan, Delilah and Stokely arguing about their new theory and he bursts in, spoiling their conversation. Then the science teacher comes in and Casey's theory is proved to be fact and in order to kill these creatures, Zeke finds out that his home-made wonder-dust (affectionately called "scat") dries out the aliens by stabbing the teacher in the eye and then Zeke does some stuff in his home laboratory and he finds out that they are a part of a larger organism, like they have a big queen-bee. If she is killed, it kills them all. Then a lot of cool, scary, hot stuff happens and finally, of course, when Casey is the only one left, our hero saves the day. I'm not going to tell you how (in case you haven't seen it...shame on you!) so you'll have to watch it. But anyways, all in all, it was an awesome movie. And our Elijah Wood is really cute in it...LoL but seriously I love this movie and I've watched it often. They are all wonderful actors and deserve a lot of recognition for this movie. I loved it because this highschool was so segregated and showed that fitting in is not always what it is cracked up to be...
